Wrong number is one of those books that are completely impossible to review without adding A LOT of spoilers. Forgive me if i do not give you guys a play by play non-spoilery review but i just can't (believe me; I've tired.)

At the first few pages of the book, i came very close to closing it and tossing it aside. I had plenty of trouble following the story, i felt like the author dragged the story with some very unnecessary descriptions. It just made everything seem very slow and dull at the beginning. For a moment i even wondered if this book was even a thriller, i was honestly skeptical about continuing on with the read.

Skip a few pages into the book and stuff starts getting pretty interesting, you begin to feel the build up of momentum. A phone rings, Will the husband goes missing and the main character Amanda who is a website designer by day and a badass computer hacker by night (or least when her husband suddenly goes missing.) She uses all available resources to find him which i found oddly intriguing -It has been a while since i heard of the term dark-net- the main question being if he was kidnapped.

Toss in a blast from the past in the form of an ex who she might still have a thing for which definitely added a of bit chick-lit spice to the story. She filed a police report and her ex-boyfriend Shane agrees to take the case and help her find her husband. They spend quite a bit of time together and you can almost taste the static current of their history pulsing through the pages... Sizzling.

I loved how the author made Amanda not sit around like some weak woman waiting for the police to  figure out what happened to her husband, she took matters into her own hands which was amazing. The thing that it so cool was that the character was not trying to be a hero in anyway, she just wanted to find her freaking husband who may or may not be dead... (oopps!)

speaking of the husband, he was one very shady character, i almost could not tell what was real or fake about him and neither could Amanda.

I recommend this book to everyone, especially if you are a fan of physiological thrillers because to an extent that is genre of this book.

A of bit of a warning though, the ending of the book was so abrupt it literally caught me off guard. I kept swiping the screen of my reading device hoping to find at least one or more chapters, heck i almost tweeted the author that the book was incomplete. To say i was upset would be putting things lightly, however thanks to the internet i discovered that a squeal will be published next year and it is already on my TBR.
